P. 5

Eileen was a pioneer in the accounting profession, helping pave the way for women through her mentorships and promoting flexible schedules for work-life balance that were ahead of their time. She cared deeply about her clients, always listened to their concerns, helped solve their tax problems, and wanted to make sure they were taken care of well after her retirement in 2008. The close relationships she formed with clients and BLS team members were those of love, sincerity, and genuine interest, with many of whom, remained friends through the last days of her life.
She was very active in her adopted community’s organizations throughout her life, including her appointment to the commissioner of the Delaware Commission for Women, treasurer of multiple campaigns for Tom Carper, board member of the Jewish Federation of Delaware, and President of the Board at The Kutz Home among many others.
