On a final note, working in the deathcare does elicit some strange reactions. People wonder if I actually have to pick up a dead body. But strange reactions are nothing new to me. I had plenty of experience as a skater. Some people might think I’m a weirdo for still riding at my age. I get the occasional funny look or honk from the horn of an irate driver. But none of this can take away from the sheer joy and freedom I feel when I am out there skateboarding.
