THE ENDLESS WAVE | PART TWO
Skateboarding is such a powerful medium for exploring one’s self and the world. The potential for skateboarding in this capacity is far greater than what we realize. The Endless Wave isn’t an instructional book or one that preaches spirituality and it isn’t a book telling you how to live or how to skate. Rather it’s about sharing some of the perspectives that form a way to understand the world and presenting you with the opportunity to take away what you will, form your own understanding and apply it to your life in your own way. My intention is that The Endless Wave inspires your first push inwards on that journey of self-actualization.
This is my first time co-authoring a publication with anyone and it turned out to be a very thought provoking and fulfilling process. Through this experience, we were able to approach discussions from different perspectives and provide insights into what we might see and what we might not see, behind the scenes in both skateboarding and life, death and beyond.
In opening myself up to authentically expressing the similarities between spirituality and skateboarding, I have been able to step into a position of greater self-acceptance appreciation and understanding of what it means to be a spiritual being having a skateboarding experience, not just a skateboarder having a spiritual experience.
