As I add up the total number of names, I find myself stunned into silence. Even typing these words feels a little surreal. Truly, this is not an exercise for the faint of heart. I seriously cannot believe how many people I’ve known who have died at such an early age.
Do I recommend you compile a list? This is entirely up to you. If you do decide to compile a list of people who you met through skateboarding who are no longer around, be prepared to be shocked.
If there is a silver lining to this exercise, it rests with the fact that despite their fairly young age, these individuals made a huge difference in the world. For this, we can all be grateful.
