The Who What, Where, When, Why and How of Death
During the writing of this book, I have strived to weave my life as a skater with a glimpse of what the world of death is like. I know that some will find this an extremely difficult juxtaposition to deal with. I admit it, it is jarring. But I also have to say that knowledge is power and hope- fully, this book has given you a little bit more power.
I feel quite confident this power will be very useful in navigating the waters of death and dying. My sense is that you will be able to use the health/deathcare sys- tem to help and support you, rather than scrambling and trying to figure out what exactly is happening. Make no mistake, the health/death care industry is complex and formidable. A misstep can lead to a great deal of unnecessary problems.
When you are thrust into a situation that you are unfamiliar with, it can cause panic and irrational decision making. If this book does anything, I really hope that it has acted as a catalyst for you to get prepared.
