knowing that we are responsible and what we input into these situations in- fluences the effects and emotions related to those experiences. Through skateboarding as a life teacher of cause and effect, one is empowered to learn to balance out taking risks and responsibility for actions and choices as well as understand the interplays of sending and receiving energy in life.
Every thought, intention and action is met with a corresponding outcome and so we actually have so much influence into the very nature of our lives. They become drowned in the experience of their effects without much conscious attention on their causes. This can lead to two outcomes;
The first is based upon enjoying the seemingly pleasurable experiences with such intensity, to the degree that a dependency develops. This leads to a man- ifestation of addictive behaviours and reckless experiences that can follow, such as in the instances of excessive alcohol and drug abuse, sexual assault, driving offences and trouble with the law.
